Architectural Mailboxes specializes in manufacturing single unit curbside mailboxes and is part of the Mail and Package Solutions (MAPS) Division of Gibraltar Industries. We have a successful and dedicated team with an average tenure of 15 years of service and are now hiring an experienced Production Line Supervisor for our Powder Coat Paint Department. All mailbox and mailbox components are hung on an overhead conveyor. They are cleaned and pre-treated. They are transported into a powder coat booth, cycled through a curing oven, and then are manually removed, organized, and unloaded onto assembly lines, assembled, and packaged for shipment.

The Powder Coat Paint Line Supervisor sets and communicates daily goals, ensures all equipment is working properly, oversees and coaches employees and reports on production daily progress and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Supervisor and manage employees on a daily basis to ensure production goals are met
• Ensure employees works safely and wear all required PPE daily
• Follows and enforces quality standards with the team
• Ensures employees are trained on work instructions and critical quality checks within their stations
• Work with department area trainers to ensure all employees are cross trained to work various positions within the department
• Ensure the safe use of complex equipment and schedule regular maintenance
• Monitor ongoing performance and skills of everyone in the department
• Learns and works in all positions to ensure adequate coverage and output
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements

• 2 years experience in a Team Lead or Supervisor role in a Manufacturing environment
• Powder Coat paint, the application of acrylics or enamels, or similar industrial paints or coatings application experience is required
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and problem solve with all level of employees throughout the organization
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Efficient and effective written and oral communication skills
• Computer and technology skills and aptitude
• Positive leadership style
