ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN is Hiring a Lead Union Installer Near Corona, CA

AD/S specializes in the design and fabrication of signs, displays, and fixtures. From the gleaming monolith that lights up the night sky to wayfinding signage that guides you through the airports, hospitals, and resorts. We are seeking a skilled Installer to become apart of our union Installation team!

Job Purpose:

AD/S installs and supervises the installation of every project we fabricate to make it run smoothly to the last detail. Using our own vehicles, equipment and crews, or working in partnership with other firms throughout the United States, we see the job through to completion. We are looking for dedicated employees who are already apart of the union or willing to join LiUNA! Local 1184 and work for union wages and pay union dues. 

Key Responsibilities

 Supervises and provide direction to installers and install apprentices on individual job progress, material shortages, customer complaints and unsafe or inoperable tools

 Perform trouble shooting, repairs, maintenance & installation of all types of electrical and lighting system equipment and components

 Installs and repair signage

 Install graphics and signs of all types

 Installs in ground, post and panel site signs into soil, asphalt and concrete

 Installs signs using ladders, boom lifts, crane, and scaffold up to 100’ in height

 Solve problems in the field as they develop

 Accurately measure and map sites for new projects

 Load and unloads product

 Interact with customers in a professional manner

 Maintain company safety standards all the times

 Operates Crane Truck

 Flexibility in Work Hours to Include Availability for Overtime Hours & Extended Travel as Needed

 Maintain and provide accurate departmental paperwork as requested

 Drives company vehicles in a safe manner

 Completes daily time-ticket

 Clean and maintain work area and equipment to provide a safe and organized work environment

 Work safely to prevent on the job injuries following all safety regulations; including PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hat, harness, and on occasion gloves, dusk mask, or job specific safety equipment)

 Interacts with other departments

 Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications 

Assist in the operation and maintenance of specialized tools used in electrical, carpentry, and related building trades; measure and calculate angles, lengths and volumes; understand and follow oral and written instructions; estimate necessary materials and equipment to complete assignments; prepare basic records and reports; read and interpret manuals, specifications, drawings and blueprints; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work.

 Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person

 Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently

 Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity

 Good communication skills in order to receive and follow instructions and communicate to others necessary information pertaining to the production of signs

 Maintain regular and timely attendance

 Must be a union employee or willing to join the union

Education/Training/Experience

 High School Diploma or GED

 5-10 of experience in construction; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

 OSHA 10 | 30

 CPR / First Aid Certified

 Certified Welder

 Forklift Certified

 Crane Operator Certified

 UL Certified

 Must possess a valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) and have a satisfactory driving record throughout employment
