Archie’s Hot Dog Island is seeking an experienced on-call cashier with a flexible schedule to join our team for seasonal events in the Hammond and surrounding areas. The right individual for this position must be outgoing, friendly, have experience in, or the ability to greet all customers, speak with confidence, and have experience upselling, cross selling and suggestive selling. Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday availability is needed for this position, and the hours vary. This is not a regular every week position. The exact days and hours the position will be needed for will depend on our event schedule.

Job Qualifications:

• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Time management skills
• Excellent customer service and the ability to upsell
• Minimum 1 year experience in the food service industry
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• Restaurant experience a plus
• Cash handling experience

Compensation:

• $13/hr plus tips

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Take the customer's order with enthusiasm and suggestive sell, upsell, and cross-sell
• Related duties as required.
