About the Company

WildLawn is a rapidly growing ecological landscape service for the homeowner. We serve clients in PA, NJ, MD, NY, DE. We participate in the design and implementation of authentic landscape alternatives to restore ecological function with native lawns, wildlife habitats, meadows, and restored woodlands.

WildLawn works closely with the homeowner to recommend appropriate native plants, installed in a functional and aesthetically pleasing design, that will provide habitat, improve soil health, and manage storm water.

WIldLawn also partners with PA DCNR to implement its Lawn to Habitat program throughout the state.

About You

We are looking for flexible, experienced professionals who are passionate about working in the field to collaborate with clients and coworkers to bring ecology to residential neighborhoods. Applicants with a proven knowledge of landscape design, native plants, and related subjects from soil health to hydrology, will be prioritized.

About the Position

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Work directly with clients to design, propose, and execute custom alternative landscape projects for homeowners and small private landowners. The WildLawn Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of each project, including working with new prospects to scope and budget projects, designing a project and plan, and directing a team to implement each project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, design, budget, propose, implement, and maintain WildLawn projects.
  • Direct and work alongside team members to perform restoration work in the field, including but not limited to invasive removal, soil preparation, planting, managing and moving materials and equipment.
  • Communicate proactively with clients to make recommendations, adhere to deadlines, and achieve mutually beneficial results.
  • Use best practices in design, planting, and installation techniques to ensure a high-quality result.
  • Manage the daily business and activities for all aspects of each project, including but not limited to budgeting and proposal writing, logistics, customer support, and nursery collaboration.
  • Maintain timely and complete records for each project, including time, expenses, and other data as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to assess sites for present conditions that will inform native plant selection, soil and hydrology modifications, and appropriate native landscape design.
  • Ability to identify invasive species and identify and execute the best means of eradicating them.
  • Ability to write professional proposals for clients.
  • Ability to manage an installation team in the field.

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Ability to perform full range of field work under sometimes strenuous conditions.

Terms of Employment

  • Full time, year round, seasonal schedule available depending on best fit.
  • $50,000 starting salary, or as appropriate for your level of experience
  • Eligible for benefits
