Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare and package products for outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment.
- Maintain organized and efficient storage areas for raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to fulfill orders and maintain inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep shipping and receiving areas clean and organized.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of shipping software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
