Role Overview:

As the Lead Purchasing Buyer, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of ingredients, packaging materials, and other essential supplies for our food production operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while upholding our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production needs while optimizing costs and quality.

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and finance teams, to align procurement activities with business objectives.

• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively address potential challenges.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to procurement activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the food industry.

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Understanding of food safety and quality standards is a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
