Archer Daniels Midland is Hiring a MECHANIC II - LANGHORNE, PA Near Langhorne, PA
Safely apply person's general mechanical knowledge and personal tools to perform general repair and maintenance on semi-tractors, semi-trailers, and other types of equipment in compliance with DOT specifications. These employees have to meet all the qualifications and ability to perform the job duties of a Mechanic II. A function of this role is to diagnose problems or record data electronically through the use of laptops or personal computers. Employees at the Mechanic I level are required to design and fabricate more complex components than the Mechanic II position. This classification of mechanic will have more perform more confined space entries than any other classifications in the truck shop. The person holding this position has to work with minimal supervision. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Perform all phases of Cargo Tank testing on coded trailers. Approximately 60% of job.
• Assist in training of other employees at the Service Mechanic, Mechanic II, or Mechanic I levels. Approximately 10% of job.
• Design and Fabricate complex assemblies for both semi-tractors and trailers. Approximately 5% of job.
• Estimate and perform wreck repairs. Approximately 8% of the job.
• Shuttle semi-tractors to repair shop or to roadside breakdowns. Approximately 5% of the job.
• Perform onboard computer installations and diagnostics. Approximately 5% of the job.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area. Approximately 2% of the job.
Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
ADM requires the successful completion of applicable pre-employment drug screen, medical assessment and background check.
