Combining deep-rooted traditions and current best practices, the school is dedicated to educating the whole child. The school community is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and caring Math Teacher for grades 6-8 for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be able to provide dynamic and goal-driven lesson planning, engaging students with differentiated learning and strong classroom management, and will be an active part of the middle school teaching team. Qualifications: •A Bachelor's degree in Math is required (or a related field of study) •A valid California Teaching credential is preferred (or a reciprocal credential from another state) •Classroom management and relationship skills based on a positive rapport with students •Teaching experience with children (especially with 11-14 year-old children) •A sincere passion and patience for working with children •Demonstrated and effective communication skills with parents and colleagues •Ability to utilize and integrate technology in a classroom environment •A commitment to teaching excellence, student-led learning and engagement, and high growth and achievement Job Responsibilities: •Plan and implement daily lesson plans for a standard math curriculum in grades 6-8 •Provide academic guidance and direction to allow students to actively engage and think critically •Provide timely and effective feedback for student learning and maintain accurate grades •Communicate with school colleagues, parents, and students in a time Requirements / Qualifications
