School Background: Today, St. Gabriel remains a large, Catholic elementary school with an enrollment of over 500 students and two classes in each grade. The average class size is 30. We serve primarily the Sunset District and also draw students from other areas of the City, northern Peninsula, and southern coastal communities. Our student body is also representative of the ethnic diversity of the Bay Area.

Seventy percent of our students are Catholic.

Job Description:

Saint Gabriel School, a Catholic school located in the Sunset district of San Francisco, California is accepting applications for a 4th grade teaching position for the 2024 – 2025 school year.

St. Gabriel offers up to two sections of each grade from transitional kindergarten through grade eight. We are looking for a qualified, energetic teacher who sets high expectations for academic excellence and is willing to incorporate the latest educational approaches into the curriculum.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

● Candidates must possess an undergraduate 4-year degree

● A California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (or a reciprocal State Teaching Credential) and/or a Master’s Degree Education in along with 2 years teaching experience is preferred.

● Candidates should be willing to be collaborative, flexible, self-motivated, and interested in growing professionally.
