Archdiocese of Miami is Hiring a 1st Grade Teacher Near Plantation, FL

St. Gregory Catholic School in Plantation (Broward), Florida is hiring a 1st Grade Teacher for the coming 2024-25 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for the 1st Grade. The Elementary School First Grade Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA Degree in Elementary Education.
  • Florida Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education Grades K-6, temporary or professional required.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar required.
  • Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor.
