Archdiocese of Detroit is Hiring a Spanish/French Teacher - Shared Time Near Madison, MI
Spanish & French TeacherPosition DescriptionBishop Foley Catholic High School in Madison Heights, partnering with Berkley Schools Shared Time Services, is seeking a World Language teacher for the 2024-25 School Year. Our ideal teacher has strength in the areas of student engagement, and approaches the target language with Speaking, Listening, Writing, and Reading at all levels. The start date for this position is August 12, 2024, with additional meetings and support given for planning and development during the summer. Candidates are sought with two language endorsements, Spanish (FF) and French (FA). We will also consider candidates who have the Spanish Endorsement and an additional certification, preferably in a world language.
Qualifications/Requirements
Salary and benefits determined through the Berkley Schools Office of Shared Time Services, based on experience and needs of the position. BFC offers all staff members a family tuition discount phased in over three years.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Current/Expected Teaching Certificate with endorsements in Spanish (FF) and French (FA) preferred. Additional certifications in lieu of FA, especially those in other world languages, will also be considered
- Experience planning and delivering lessons on grammar, conjugation, conversation, writing and vocabulary
- A good methodology for ensuring speaking and listening skills are developed through classroom participation, daily
- Strong classroom management skills, with a desire to create an environment that fosters growth and opportunity for students
- Experience at the high school level is highly desired
