Archdiocese of Detroit is Hiring a Kindergarten Teacher 2024-2025 school year Near Livonia, MI

Position Description

St. Edith Catholic School is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Kindergarten position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Qualifications/Requirements

All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. Teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach.

Applicants should be highly capable of providing student instruction and managing the classroom environment.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Current teaching license and/or degree in elementary education
Must meet all requirements established by the Archdiocese of Detroit for employment
Must have a record of fingerprints on file or be fingerprinted
Must have completed or be willing to complete Protecting God's Children training
Ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere with teachers, parents, and students
Ability to maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment
