Archdiocese of Detroit is Hiring an Engagement Coordinator Near Rochester, MI
- Transcribe, write, format, and disseminate formational and marketing materials in various digital and print formats.
- Follow up with new parishioners and families after sacraments of initiation and funerals.
- Communicate with parishioners inviting them to events and programs to become more engaged.
- Share in fostering a sense of community within the staff and parish where all feel welcome and valued members of the parish community.
- Implement and coordinate adult inquiry and faith formation opportunities to form disciples and witnesses of the faith.
- Serve as a resource to ministries of outreach, welcome and renewal.
- Build teams to assist in the areas of evangelization, communication, adult faith formation, etc. as needed to meet the spiritual hungers of parishioners.
- Promote welcome initiatives that reach beyond the parish.
- Responsible for the oversight of social media platforms and the parish website.
- Active Catholic in good standing able to participate in the sacramental life of the Church.
- Passionate about the ministry of making disciples and supporting the parish mission and vision statements.
- Articulate about living and sharing your faith by inspiring others with your words and witness.
- Person of prayer who has an abiding friendship with the Lord.
- Mission driven and creative problem solver.
- Confident leader with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understands Catholic teaching on evangelization as presented in the documents of the Second Vatican Council, Unleash the Gospel, and the Detroit Model of Evangelization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of the parish staff.
- Knowledgeable computer skills (MS Office products, Canva)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize various projects.
- Must complete the Archdiocesan Protecting God’s Children training and pass a criminal background check.
