Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full time elementary teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year. Christ the King Catholic School is a mage elementary school and has been educating children in the Northwest Detroit and the surrounding community since 1938.
- Develops and implements a well-planned, standards-based curriculum
- Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning
- Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress
- Oversees the planning and implementation of the classroom
- Establishes a classroom atmosphere of caring respect and appropriate expectations, which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively and respectfully.
- Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems
- Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents
- Completes additional operational and professional responsibilities and duties as needed
- Bachelors degree required / Current Michigan teacher certification preferred
