Archdiocese Of Denver is Hiring a Maintenance Manager - St Mary Greeley Near Greeley, CO
This Job will be posted until May 31st or until a candidate is hired.Job Summary: Responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the parish facilities, grounds, and equipment including but not limited to; Church Building, School Building, Parish Center, two rectories, oak grove, sidewalks, school playground, soccer field, blacktop, parking lots, walker mower/plow and tractor Rate of Pay: $55,000 salary per year Benefits: Comprehensive and Generous Benefits package that includes Health, Vision, Dental, Life, and Accident Insurances, Mental Health Services, Retirement, Flex Spending Account, and more. Vacation time is accrued at 3.69 hours per Bi-weekly pay period totaling 96 hours per year. Sick time is accrued at a rate of 3.08 hours per Pay Period up to a total of 80 Hours per year. Normal Working Hours: Hourly, 40 Hours per Week, Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with half hour lunch. Some nights and weekends depending on weather and emergencies. Reports to: The Pastor, the Business Manager, and their representatives Duties
Inspect the entire property daily making sure the janitorial contractor cleaned appropriately and that all maintenance items have been taken care of (ie. lights, paint, spots on carpet etc…) repair, replace, and clean as necessary. Check for any OSHA violations, and correct.
Ensure all walks are free from snow and ice. Clear as necessary. Coordinate with Other Maintenance Staff, Volunteers, and Contractors as necessary to ensure the entire campus is safe for all parishioners after snow and ice events.
Manage and Supervise other Maintenance Staff to ensure that their time is being used efficaciously
Create, Manage, and Communicate Maintenance Policies and schedules to pertinent staff members
Maintain Alarm and Security Camera System. Respond to Alarms. Coordinate with Pastor, Business Manager, and Principal when security issues arise.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies on hand.
Communicate and coordinate with all outside vendors, other maintenance staff, volunteers, and contractors about ongoing maintenance and upkeep of parish facilities, grounds, and equipment
Be on hand to handle all inspections of the facility (fire, insurance, boiler, elevator, etc.)
Ensure all HVAC systems are in good working condition, check the condition of belts, change the filters, repair as necessary. Contact HVAC contractor with assistance.
Monitor A/C and Heat for all buildings. Ensure that temperatures are kept reasonably comfortable, while keeping costs of running HVAC low.
Ensure Pews, Office Furniture & Fixtures, Tables, Chairs, Desks, and counters are in good working condition.
Ensure all Plumbing and water-connected appliances / equipment are fully operational and in good working condition. Repair, replace, and clean as necessary.
Ensure all Electrical Issues are handled (i.e: Lights, Outlets, Battery Backups, Fixtures, etc.)
Do routine inspections of the facilities, grounds, and equipment with the Pastor, Business Manager, and Principal. Repair or recommend replacement as needed.
Ensure all exterior lighting is functioning properly to ensure a safe campus at night.
Clean grounds of all trash, cigarette butts, and leaves, clean/clear drains and gutters
Sweep sidewalks removing all bark, rocks, leaves, ash and dirt.
Check all grounds to ensure that they have been maintained and are clear of safety concerns. Inform the Business Manager, Pastor, and/or Principal if there are areas of concern, discuss a solution, and correct any items as needed.
Spray/Pull weeds (Seasonal)
Trim Trees and Bushes (Seasonal)
Repair Plant and Flower Beds
Stripe Parking Lots Lines and paint interior walls as needed
Any additional duties assigned by the Pastor
QualificationsMust be able to perform general labor tasks for up to 8 hours a day, including breaks Must be able to work on some weekends and Holidays depending on weather Maintain a valid Driver’s License
