Wellspring Catholic Academy of St. Bernadette is seeking a full-time caring, reliable, and motivated Early Childhood Teacher. A Wellspring Catholic Academy teacher partners with the Preschool Director in the classroom to help children grow and develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually. The Early Childhood Teacher will need strong communicative, collaborative, and organizational skills as well as a desire to be part of a mission-driven school culture.
Requirements:
1-3 years minimum experience working with children ages 3-5
Being on your feet 80-90% of the time
Getting onto and off of the floor to sit or squat to meet children’s eye levels
Colorado early childhood level II credential
Safe Environment Training (can be earned after hire)
Completing mandatory online training to meet state and federal requirements
Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree
ECE 101 and 103 completion, CDA, and/or CO Early Childhood Leveled Credential II
Be a fully initiated and active Catholic who teaches and acts in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church
Some Spanish speaking and listening skills
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with Preschool Director and Assistant Early Childhood to maintain a safe, clean learning environment for all children in his/her care
Maintains a cooperative attitude of working together with the Director, Assistant, parents, and other staff in classroom and outside of classroom for all-school/parish events
Designs and implements developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum, TS Gold, and archdiocesan standards
Supports Preschool Director in maintaining student files via following up with parents and collecting mandatory paperwork, for example, general health forms as needed
Communicates consistently and effectively with parents regarding student progress
Writes and distributes weekly class newsletter to parents
Exhibits a genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards all children
