The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150 elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Coordinator to join our team. As the Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our organization's mission and goals. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for making a difference.

The Development Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive institutional advancement program for St. Norbert School, a preschool through 8th grade Catholic school in Northbrook, IL. This position is responsible for the oversight of fundraising, development, alumni activities, and grant writing. All responsibilities are to be in line with the Catholic mission of the school. The Director of Development will report directly to the principal and work collaboratively with the School Advisory Board and school auxiliary organizations.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet annual revenue targets.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
• Manage donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgment letters, donor recognition events, and regular communication.
• Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the annual budget.
• Utilize databases to track donor information, gifts, and campaign progress.
• Stay informed about trends in philanthropy, nonprofit management, and fundraising best practices.
• Write compelling grant proposals and manage the grant application process.
• Oversee the annual calendar for all St. Norbert School fundraising events.
• Maintain a fundraising guide that is distributed to school families.
• Oversee the gift giving process and recognition programs.
• Maintain an alumni database and deepening alumni relationships with St. Norbert School.
• Propose an annual operating budget for development initiatives and report to the Pastor and Finance Council on outcomes.
• Set development goals and objectives that are clear and measurable.
