Archbishop Moeller High School is Hiring a School Counselor Near Cincinnati, OH
- Attend to the academic, social and emotional well-being of students.
- Prepare students for post-secondary opportunities through college and career planning. Participate in all facets of college application, scholarship and financial aid programs.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors, administrators, and teachers to develop, implement, and teach counseling department curriculum.
- Participate in departmental Professional Learning Communities and attend educational conferences/workshops to maintain and improve the overall counseling department and the individual counselor’s skills.
- Manage students on a Moeller Assistance Plan (MAP), which is the private school equivalent of a 504 plan.
- Assist the counseling department with standardized testing throughout the year.
- Assist students in the basic registration and course registration process for the NCAA eligibility center.
- Ability to work with a dynamic team of professional school counselors to implement a comprehensive school counseling program based on the ASCA National Model.
- Candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and be a licensed school counselor. Candidates will have high school counseling experience, be a lifelong learner, and possess a comprehensive understanding of best practices for educating and working with adolescent boys.
- Candidates should have experience and expertise in the realm of mental health counseling. Experience with career counseling and/or career development programming is a plus.
- Ideal candidates will be dynamic, personable, energetic individuals who work well with high school students and their families and will be able to help foster the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. Additionally, they will possess a desire to support the academic vision and mission of Moeller High School: Catholic. Marianist. Forming Our Students into Remarkable Men.
