Responsibilities

The Arcfield Human Resources Department is seeking a student intern to participate in an opportunity to support the Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition teams. The intern will work directly on the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and procedures. This includes job analysis, market pricing, job description analysis, salary survey input and analysis, compensation plan design, and compliance as needed across the organization. 

Total Rewards Duties and Tasks

• Work with compensation and benefits team on projects related to job descriptions, compensation plans, benefit open enrollment preparation and compensation-benefit related programs

• Participate in salary benchmarking studies to ensure Arcfield’s compensation model is competitive

• Work with the Compensation Manager to review and update all current job descriptions including the new grade structure, branding, and other required statements per Federal regulations

• Help collect and analyze compensation data from various sources including job description reviews and job pricing to assist with compensation audits
• Conduct market research to gather information on industry trends related to compensation and benefits
• Learn about employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings and leave of absence policies and help explain them to employees
• Assist with benefits-related audits, employee communications and other special projects
• Review, compare and consolidate Total Rewards policies and procedures against recent merger and acquisitions

Talent Acquisition Duties and Tasks

• Review, compare and consolidate Talent Acquisition policies and procedures against recent merger and acquisitions
• Assist with the 2024 Intern program to include planning activities, organizing lunch and learns, documenting activities and posting on internal and external channels
• Assist the Talent Acquisition Lead during New Hire Orientation and Open Houses

Qualifications

• Must have excellent writing skills to include policy and technical writing

• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency

• Willing to take initiative and eager to learn
