The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

• Lead and/or assist in the negotiation and drafting of a variety of contracts, including but not limited to confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, vendor contracts, and professional services agreements.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments on proposed contracts, identifying potential legal and business risks, and providing strategic guidance to mitigate those risks.
• Manage contracts database.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to understand business objectives and align contract terms accordingly.
• Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations in the biotech industry and ensure that all contracts adhere to legal and compliance standards.

 Skills and Experience We Look For

• JD degree from an accredited law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in contract negotiation, drafting and management, with some experience in biotech, pharma, or healthcare. 
• Strong understanding of legal principles and contract law.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with biotech industry practices and trends is a plus.
• Highly experienced non-attorney Contract Managers with a minimum of 5-7 years of contracts management experience may be considered (and the role will be tailored appropriately).
