Electronics Technician I, II, III
The Electronics Technician position is accountable to the Work Group Lead (WGL) and the Mission Support Services (MSS) Manager for the overall support of in-scope work in The RF communications Department (WBS-160). This includes supporting and maintaining the Communications and Flight Termination Systems. This position receives technical guidance from WGL, Field Service Engineer (FSE), and other senior technicians. Work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
Applicable to Electronics Technician I-III: Provide Telecommunications operation, maintenance, and technical support.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Perform maintenance, installation and repair on the equipment assigned to the RF Communications Department. Electronics Technician I: Will assist with preventive and remedial maintenance, usually under the direction of a higher-level technician.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Install new components and systems. Create and update telecommunications engineering documents and diagrams. Utilize schematics and wiring diagrams in troubleshooting equipment or systems.
Electronics Technician I: Will assist with Installation of new components and systems and help create and update engineering documents and diagrams. Utilize schematics and wiring diagrams in troubleshooting equipment or systems, usually under the direction of a higher-level technician.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Troubleshoot and repair communications distribution systems, AM/FM transceivers, Multiplexers, audio recorders, and ancillary equipment to the component level.
Electronics Technician I: Will assist with the trouble shooting and repair, usually under the direction of a higher-level technician.
Applicable to Electronics Technician I-III: Utilize electronic test equipment (communication analyzers, oscilloscope, multi meters and signal generators) with minimal direction.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Evaluate, calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot a wide range of RF Radio equipment with minimal direction. Electronics Technician I: Will assist with the evaluation, calibration, adjusting and troubleshooting. usually under the direction of a higher-level technician.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Provide technical guidance and training to lower-level technicians.
Applicable to Electronics Technician II-III: Perform preventive and remedial maintenance on electro-mechanical or servo tracking systems.
Electronics Technician I: Will assist with preventive and remedial Maintenance.
Other Related Duties:
Perform other duties as required, to include supporting other work centers during surges. This may include cross training in other function areas to meet overall contract performance objectives. Perform housekeeping of the work area and equipment according to specified standards. Operate personnel lifts, Government vehicles and climb antenna towers. Complete instructor led and online training. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must have the ability to work under the pressure of a real-time mission environment. Configure and operate RF and digital electronics test equipment. Communicate effectively in both oral and written form; Apply the principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Establish and maintain successful working relationships. Interact effectively with system users. Analyze data and resolve problems. Work in a team environment; work under deadlines; Use a computer to input and retrieve information and data. Perform work in an ISO compliant/certified environment.

Certifications and Licenses Required:
Must have a High School diploma or high school equivalent.
Trade School Certificate in Electronics, AS in Electronics, or Military Equivalent.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Ability to obtain and maintain a USAF Flight Line Driver's License.
Ability to pass a physical medical examination required to operate motorized equipment such as man lifts and forklifts.
Ability to obtain and maintain a tower climbing certification.
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift driver certification.
Ability to maintain CPR with AED certification.
Ability to maintain First Aid certification.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical and Mental Demands:
Typical field and shop environment with some unusual environments (heat, cold and wind), Prolonged sitting while supporting missions or programs as well as while using the computer, constant use of sight abilities, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Ability to work extended and flexible hours including weekends. Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, and areal platform personnel lifts. Ability to work on aerial platforms and in an outdoor desert environment. Ability to use a computer to input and retrieve information and data. Ability to travel as required by the Company. Able to lift 50 pounds periodically.
