For almost 40 years Arcare, Inc., a certified 501(c)(3), has proudly served families and individuals with special needs in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. While much has changed throughout the last four decades, the mission of our organization has stayed the same: to provide caring and professional advocacy and support services to individuals with developmental, physical, or emotional disabilities while assisting the individuals in achieving his or her highest level of well-being consistent with the circumstances and resources available, and with appropriate consideration of family desires.
Position Description:
The Trust Intake Coordinator reports to the Director of Trust Services and is responsible for educating and assisting individuals who inquire about the special needs trust services offered by Arcare. This position works closely with the Director of Trust Services and Executive Director. This is a full time position, generally M-F, 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. Hours may vary and some light travel may be required.
· Answer inquiries about Arcare Special Needs Trust programs by telephone, email, and mail.
· Prepare and send information to potential clients, families, and community partners.
· Manage client engagement with the services of other staff members and Executive Director.
· Schedule appointments.
· Maintain client data and records.
· Provide assistance to other Trust Department staff members as needed.
· Attend various conventions/seminars as a vendor to educate the community on Special Needs Trust and the available benefits.
· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Trust Services and Executive Director.
Required Skills:
· Excellent written and verbal language skills.
· Excellent listening skills.
· Ability to communicate with, have patience with, and compassion for individuals with disabilities.
· Strong organizational skills for maintaining files and attention to detail.
· Ability to use email, Word, Excel, and Zoom.

Required Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Two years customer service experience.
· Excellent organizational and communication ability.
· Excellent computer skills.
· The candidate must be comfortable and willing to spend considerable amounts of time on the phone.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Reliable transportation.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· A BS degree in a disability related field or significant experience working with people who have mental and/or physical disability (preferred but not required).
· Public speaking experience.
