Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated Substation Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in Atlanta, GA

This is a technical position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position consisting in the coordination of the power delivery substation electrical engineering team and performing hands on engineering, detail design and studies for utility clients in North America. The incumbent will also work closely with civil, structural, and protection & relay control engineering team within the Power Delivery group. As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life.

Role accountabilities:

• Support developing and delivering substation physical electrical package for transmission and distribution station projects from 4kV to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.
• Work under direct mentorship of Sr. and/or Lead engineer and designer preparing substation electrical package including but not limited to - Station One Lines, General Arrangement/Key Plan, Section & Elevations, Grounding, Lighting, Lightning plan design and studies, Conduit and Cable Raceway, Control Building, Equipment Specification, BOM, Bid evaluation and all related calculations, studies, and reports
• Contribute engineering & design support developing Renewable projects (Solar, Wind, BESS) projects.
• Prepare Equipment Specification, BOM, Bid evaluation and proposal support. 
• Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. 

We are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering and design experience 
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE 
• Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation; Able to execute and delivery projects under supervision of Sr. and/or Lead engineer 

Preferred Qualifications

• US electrical utility experience
