Our helpful staff is trained to provide excellent customer service in a fun, friendly, and clean shopping environment.

This position provides general production room assistance unpacking raw product, and across the production line in hanging, tagging, and stocking merchandise ensuring that established production quotas are met.

Major Responsibilities:

• Properly processes and stocks donated items to the sales floor according to established procedures
• Unpacks clothing donations at a rate of 350 pounds per hour
• Provides Assistance in sorting donations
• Accurately tag/hang all clothing at a rate of 2 racks per hour
• Accurately sticker/tag hard goods at rate of 25-30 boxes per hour
• Assists with sorting, tagging, boxing, organization and storage of off-season merchandise
• Works at pre-sort stations in cloth and hard goods to support Production Associates
• Assists with emptying trash & recycling, and supporting donation team when requested

Major Responsibilities:

• Arrives to work on time/completes assigned shifts with few exceptions
• Attends staff huddles, store meetings and trainings as required
• Keeps current with daily changes, events and information
• Works independently without constant supervision
• Participates as part of Value Village team placing priority on teamwork and positive attitude
• Wears name badge and appropriate apron/vest for identification, service and safety
• Uses appropriate language and respect for all who shop, donate, work and volunteer at Value Village
• Completes diversity and harassment trainings and follows established policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
• Prior experience not required
• Able to effectively communicate with all guests (shoppers, donors, and volunteers)
• Able to lift boxes and bags that weigh 30 - 50 lbs
• Able to stand, walk, bend and stoop continuously throughout assigned work shift
• Able to work varied hours/days as business dictates
