The Arc of Morris, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization headquartered in Morris County, NJ, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of Morris is the largest provider of services for people affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Morris County.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter will be responsible for the recruitment of all open positions at Arc Morris. He/she must be able to work in an office environment and be flexible to attend various functions and events in relation to recruiting and networking. The Recruiter must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills as they will be communicating with all levels of staff and candidates on a daily basis.

The Recruiter will be responsible for performing various administrative duties related to recruitment and employee onboarding. He/she will lead the department functions of recruiting, hiring and interviewing staff. The nature of the position often involves exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of diplomacy, discretion and judgment and confidentiality. He/she will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning, growth and success of our agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and schedule interviews.
  • Maintain and manage a new hire list.
  • Conduct first round screening interviews and set up second round interviews.
  • Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy for available positions.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
  • Screen candidate’s resumes and job applications.
  • Utilize various recruitment methods such as job fairs, word of mouth etc.
  • Attend job fairs and local events for recruitment purposes.
  • Process employment application intake and verification of complete and accurate onboarding steps of new hires.
  • Assist with Scheduling and completing employee background check screenings such as but not limited to: Central registry, CARI, Medical, and drug test, Verify Comply, OIG exclusions, Identigo fingerprinting, MVR.
  • Answer and direct phone calls/email as directed.
  • Follow all Arc/Morris policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 years related experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars a must.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures that may be introduced to the company at any time.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
  • The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
  • A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
