The Arc Erie County is Hiring an Employment Specialist Near Buffalo, NY

Our Position: The Arc Erie County is currently seeking an Employment Specialist who will assist individuals with developmental challenges with their career development goals and employment options. Other duties include:

  • Work with individuals in researching career options and locating employment opportunities in their area of interest.
  • Provide job coaching supports to individuals once placed into employment.
  • Assist individuals with retaining employment by providing onsite support.
  • Completes documentation of services and tracks information in our electronic health records database.

Our Rate of Pay: $18.50 (40 hours per week; flexible schedule), plus mileage reimbursement at the federal rate.

Our Requirements:

  • Associate degree or higher in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration or a closely related field OR
  • High school or equivalent diploma PLUS (2) years full-time paid direct service experience with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License; approved driving record and reliable transportation. Will be required to use personal vehicle to travel to worksites throughout the WNY area.
