The IT Change Management Associate is a consulting associate that leads a team that designs and delivers strategic and operational communications and facilitates organizational change with stakeholders in an emergency management environment. They lead multiple workstreams, collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders in a fast-paced, complex environment. They have 3-5 years of experience in strategic communications and management. Master's Degree preferred. They help clients design and deliver communications strategies in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment - helping inspire action with emergency management stakeholders. Ideal candidates bring expertise in communicating change, an innovation mindset, experience in consulting, and a desire to contribute to the company.

Hybrid Work Environment: Arc Aspicio is currently operating in a hybrid work environment where employees are at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area on their start date, ready to work with their team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a tight-knit communications and outreach team on a large, information technology project with the Government
  • Lead outreach to national audiences to help communities and individuals use technology tools to protect themselves from flood risk (flood risk mitigation)
  • Integrate with Agile development teams to identify and address change management needs
  • Deliver outstanding client service to diverse stakeholders and act as a trusted adviser on organizational capability-building and change initiatives
  • Manage teams and provide mission and innovation-focused support on complex management consulting projects for the Federal Government
  • Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
  • Lead initiatives to implement company strategy, grow new business, and develop our capabilities
  • Contribute to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop 

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic and operational communications focused on helping stakeholders adapt to new policies, processes, and technology solutions
  • Experience leading a communications team; experience on Government and/or IT projects preferred
  • Experience and strong interest in supervising and developing employees
  • Master's Degree strongly preferred
  • Passion for communicating and collaborating with individuals and teams and working with complex emergency management and technology subjects
  • Significant experience planning, writing, and editing communications materials and communicating complex topics through a variety of channels
  • Interest in strategizing and writing a diverse set of strategic communications materials to help stakeholders understand how to use technology resources and to navigate change (website content, fact sheets, newsletters, presentations, trainings, communications plans, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills (presentation skills, meeting facilitation, etc.)
  • Ability to act as a liaison to coordinate with subject matter experts to and translate complex information into messages easily understood by the general public, lay audiences, and stakeholders
  • Ability to post web content on internal or external websites using web content management systems (CMS)
  • Loves to learn and is willing to reach out to stakeholders to communicate and share ideas
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, completing regular work quickly and able to balance strategic work with day-to-day operations on busy projects
  • Strong interest in emergency management, flood risk communications, mitigation, national preparedness, and homeland security consulting
  • Experience using the entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Critical Skills: Communication, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and interest in working in a fast-growth consulting firm, not just working on one project
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree minimum. Master's Degree preferred
  • Clearance: US Citizenship Only (no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain an agency-level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Communications, Business, Technology, Public Policy, or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance
  • Experience with web content management software, SharePoint, and other technology related to communications and outreach
