Arbors of Hop Brook, ALF with Atlas Healthcare is seeking a Lifestyle Engagement Director for our community.

The Director of Lifestyle Engagement is responsible for the operations of the wellness and activities departments including supervision of staff, coordination and implementation of exercise and other classes, motivational programs, wellness education, and activities programs.

We are seeking an individual that loves working with seniors and enjoys making their lives memorable.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Life Engagement:

• Assess resident preferences and develop a program of opportunities that are meaningful to the residents served and enhance their sense of well-being (identity, growth, autonomy, security, connectedness, meaning and joy)
• Provide overall leadership to employees and management of Life Engagement Specialists
• Coordinate a dynamic and active volunteer program
• Plan, coordinate and direct a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in areas of lifestyle activity.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
• Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population including newly retired seniors seeking a carefree lifestyle, seniors in need of physical assistance, and seniors in varying stages of memory loss.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Health Promotion or related field
• Five years’ working experience in fitness/activities/life enrichment with seniors.
• Experience working with assisted living and memory care residents desired; supervisory experience preferred.
