Position Description

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains the buildings, grounds, and related equipment in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. The Maintenance Technician must be knowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance.

Maintenance Technician: Duties and Responsibilities

• Filter changes, a/c and heat inspections and repairs.
• Plumbing repairs such as faucet repairs, adjustments, and installations.
• Pool and spa maintenance as directed and needed.
• Assist security with protection and respond to security as needed. Assist with the snow removal as needed.
• Must be flexible with work hours and have the ability to take 24 hour on call duty.

Electrical/ Plumbing Functions

• Read Voltmeter.
• Troubleshoot and install light switches, light ballasts, light fixtures, breakers, breaker boxes, receptacles, vacuum cleaner electrical problems etc.
• Replace blown fuses, lamp sockets, cords on lamps, appliances, etc.
• Install disconnect boxes, ceiling fans, dimmer switches.
• Repairs a variety of leakage problems: installs faucets, sinks, shower heads, toilets, etc.

Typical Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to walk, squat, bend, kneel, climb and reach above the shoulders. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Must have the sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch.
• Ability to work with and be exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals.
• Must be able to tolerate dust and exposure to hot and cold temperatures and work outside for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. This program assists in determining whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions.

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of specialized training or Technical School.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum of three years in general maintenance activities.

License and/or Certification Preferred

• CFC certified and/or CPO certified.
