Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager

Our company is seeking a seeking a highly skilled Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager to join our team of healthcare professionals!

The Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the foodservice department, according to facility policy and procedures and state regulations. The Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and client expectations are satisfactorily met. Additionally, will be responsible for managing the department's budget, supervising staff, and maintaining inventory levels.

Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing menus that meet the nutritional needs of patients/residents while maintaining quality and variety.
  • Ordering, receiving, and storing food in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring that food is prepared using safe and sanitary methods.
  • Monitoring and organizing kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Managing departmental budgets, analyzing food costs and modifying menus accordingly to stay within budget.
  • Supervising and training staff in proper food handling, preparation, service, and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate meal counts and food cost reports.
  • Interacting with patients/residents and families to resolve any issues related to their dietary needs.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the dietary department based on established standards and guidelines.

Dietary Manager/Certified Dietary Manager Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Program, 2-yr, or 4-yr foodservice program
  • 2 years’ experience in foodservice management in Long Term Care setting
  • Skill in motivating, coaching, and supervising foodservice personnel
  • Current awareness of legislation and regulations influencing the practice of standards of care

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
