Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for caregiving and creating meaningful experiences for others.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing a variety of activities and events for residents, including social gatherings, games, crafts, and outings
- Provide support to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans that incorporate recreational therapy
- Manage schedules and ensure timely execution of activities
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote engagement and participation
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents during activities
- Provide dementia care support and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in event planning and coordination
- Familiarity with recreational therapy techniques is beneficial
- Understanding of the unique needs of individuals in assisted living or memory care settings

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
