Aramark Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Diabetes Educator Dietitian - Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) to join our healthcare team. As a Diabetes Educator Dietitian, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of individuals living with diabetes by providing comprehensive education, counseling, and support related to diabetes self-management, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications. Your expertise in diabetes management and nutrition will contribute to empowering patients to achieve optimal health outcomes and prevent complications associated with diabetes.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct individual assessments to evaluate the unique needs and challenges of individuals with diabetes, including their medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits.
• Develop personalized care plans and educational materials based on evidence-based guidelines and principles of diabetes management and nutrition.
• Provide one-on-one counseling and education sessions to individuals and their families, focusing on topics such as blood glucose monitoring, medication management, healthy eating, exercise, stress management, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and integrated diabetes management.
• Conduct group education sessions, workshops, and community outreach programs to raise awareness about diabetes prevention, early detection, and self-management strategies.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and active state licensure to practice as a dietitian.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dietitian, with a focus on diabetes management and education.
• In-depth knowledge of diabetes pathophysiology, medical nutrition therapy, and current diabetes treatment strategies.
• Strong counseling and communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients, families, and groups.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
