A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON)

As a Director of Nursing (DON) at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the nursing department. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current state license.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a skilled nursing facility.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• The Director of Nursing typically works in an office setting but may also spend time on the nursing floor.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Involves a combination of administrative tasks and direct patient care oversight.
