ARA is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Software QA Specialist to contribute to our customer's growth in the fields of engineering, research, and software development. This immediate opening provides an exciting opportunity to engage in quality assurance and testing for cutting-edge physics-based modeling and simulation software.

What you'll do as a Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET):

• Develop and execute automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature-based releases.
• Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies and contribute to product definition.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks and develop new ones as needed.
• Monitor test execution, analyze reports, and troubleshoot failures.
• Research and implement testing tools, methodologies, and trends.
• Design and maintain test tools and automation frameworks.
• Plan and implement complex test scenarios, including multi-user distributed testing.
• Support team members in authoring automation scripts and implementing best practices.

Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) Requirements:

• Due to the nature of work (i.e. interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs) eligibility to apply for and hold a US security clearance is required; selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and development and/or test automation.
• Proficiency in C , Python, or similar.
• Ability to code automated tests using Gtest, Test Complete, Robot, J-Unit, Silk4J, or Pytest.
• Experience with 3D software testing and API test frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress.io, Postman Pro, Jira, Git, etc.

Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) Preferences:

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
• Experience with container management technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker), application security tools (Fortify, SonarQube), and automated testing.
