Aqueduct is Hiring a Remote VP of Infrastructure

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of IT Infrastructure to lead our customer’s technology team and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure. The VP of IT Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all technology infrastructure components within the organization. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive innovation, optimize processes, and ensure the alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of implementing and managing complex IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy that supports the company's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for network operations, systems administration, cloud services, and data center management.
  • Evaluate and recommend infrastructure technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, performance, and security.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and services.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and security posture, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Lead IT infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the IT infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in network architecture, server infrastructure, virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing vendor performance.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT infrastructure management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or ITIL are a plus.
