Are you an experienced IT leader with a passion for providing exceptional end-user support and services? Do you possess the technical expertise and leadership skills necessary to manage a dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of critical IT functions? Our customer is searching for a Director of End User Services located in Zionsville, IN. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the IT department, overseeing a range of crucial functions, and managing a dedicated team of professionals. Your responsibilities will span from evaluating and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions to maintaining a high level of support for our entire organization. You will be at the forefront of shaping our IT strategy and ensuring the seamless operation of essential services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction for IT functions related to End User Services, including IT Service Desk, desktop support, telephony solutions, video conferencing, and more.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a skilled team of IT professionals, ensuring they provide comprehensive and high-quality support to all users.
  • Technology Solutions: Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technology solutions and services to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • IT Service Desk: Establish and manage an in-house IT Service Desk as the first point of contact for all technology-related issues.
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain and upgrade existing solutions to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability.
  • Vendor Management: Manage third-party vendors and service providers, establishing contracts and statements of work.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate staffing and solutions to support company-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Security Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the IT Security team to ensure a comprehensive and effective security posture.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Create and provide detailed metrics related to department performance and service level achievement.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enact policies and procedures to ensure consistent articulation of technology guidelines to the user community and technology staff.
  • Staff Development: Conduct routine staff evaluations, develop staff development plans, and manage IT budget items.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 8 years of direct, technical experience, and 3 years of people-leading experience required.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive and broad knowledge of all aspects of IT solutions and services.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience with leading and managing technical teams and external vendors.
  • Organization: Excellent organization and time management skills; prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Customer Focus: Outstanding customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership team members.
  • Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and work under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Specific Technical Skills Preferred:

  • Experience with developing, implementing, and overseeing an IT Service Desk as a first point of contact for all technology-related issues, including selecting and implementing a ticketing/work management solution.
  • Deploying Office/Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure AD Environments, and advanced Microsoft 365 Services including Enterprise and Mobility.
  • Experience with selecting personal computing and laptop devices, along with planning, architecting, deploying, monitoring, and managing a company's personal computing solutions.
