Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Applications Engineering Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office this summer to support the Applications Engineering group. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate courses in Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
Familiarity with water purification processes e.g. Membrane separation, Chemical Softening, etc. desirable
Job Description:
Get on-the-job training while supporting an experienced Applications Engineer in performing water treatment proposal preparation, reviewing Request for Proposal (RFP), performing process calculations involving heat and mass balance, sizing of water treatment processes and equipment, helping review Process Flow diagram (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and equipment layout drawings. Follow up for vendor quotations for major equipment and commodity items.
Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit
Internship:
Aquatech Internships are in the office five days per week, 40 hours per week. The internship program is temporary employment that lasts for a maximum duration of ninety (90) days. Successful completion of this internship will provide you with invaluable skills in the water treatment industry and make a compelling addition to your professional journey.
