Job Summary
The Collections Reporting Specialist reports directly to the Director, Customer Services and is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and creating reports related to all Collection activities, including accounts receivable, collection field activity, allowance for doubtful accounts, regulatory compliance and financial performance.
Incumbent must ensure strict adherence to the Public Utility Regulatory Authority (PURA) regulations and their counterparts in all three states in which we do business.
Successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management tools, and ability to manage and interpret data.
Principal Responsibilities
Gather, interpret data and report trends to management on the above measures to facilitate proper understanding of marketplace and economic activity;
prepare reports as necessary.
Ensure consistency of all collection cycles and compliance with state regulations.
Preferred Requirements
Excellent communications, customer-service, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills are required.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and meet commitments. Strong skills in Microsoft platform (Word and Excel).
SAP experience is desirable. Strong understanding of the collection system's impact on the general ledger system, familiarity with collection practices.
Understanding of the regulations of the CT DPUC and MA’s and NH’s economic regulatory counterparts.
Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field.
Salary
After 3 months of successful employment, this role will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days office / 2 days remote).
Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of $72,640 - $90,800.
