POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inside Sales Representative I will be responsible for providing professional sales support to clients. The primary functions include inside sales support for various business lines within the company. The ISR may specialize in specific business lines, product categories, and customers. Additional responsibilities include sales order entry and processing, client support, and supporting outside sales representatives. Typical functions would include large volume of phone calls, data entry, sales order coordination, compliance, and various follow-through activities to support multiple business facets within Aqualung.

REPORT & LIAISE

The ISR reports directly to the Inside Sales Lead. The ISR serves as the liaison between the customer, Credit Department, Sales Representatives, and various internal departments to ensure client needs and shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Provide and maintain high client service levels, by ensuring clients’ requests are addressed in a timely matter by efficiently executing on requests for quotes and submitting/processing sales order entry requests
  • Become well familiarized with product and be able to provide technical product support
  • Ability to problem-solve in a high-paced, dynamic environment
  • Field incoming emails and phone calls regarding sales, order entry and order maintenance.
  • Maintain various excel reports for client order and compliance management
  • Strive to achieve sales goals, on-time delivery goals, and organizational objectives.
  • Process traditional after sales requests while ensuring the client is left with a positive and favorable experience. Management of multiple processes occurring at same time.
  • Continue to expand knowledge, across all business lines, on product training, product specific uses, and supplier circumstances.
  • Responsible for backorders, credit holds, communicating inventory discrepancies, chargebacks, and open order management reports.
  • Promote new technologies offered by the Aqua Lung website (including all other business lines). Educate the client on its benefits and available tools to better meet their needs, along with their service requirements.
  • Understand company’s goals and objectives.
  • Stay up to date on industry standards, trends and developments.
  • Adhere to assigned work schedule and required break and meal periods.
  • Comply with company’s time reporting policies and procedures.
  • Perform, with a team approach, other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft
  • Knowledge of ASI system, a plus
  • College degree preferred
  • Aptitude for learning new technology.
  • Fluent Spanish speaking skills, a plus
  • Experience with government sales and government compliance requirements, a plus
  • Experience with international sales, a plus
  • Scuba diving experience, a plus
  • Veteran, a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

College degree preferred. Minimum one year of experience in inside sales/client services or administrative capacity. Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.

Experience working for an Outdoor Industry consumer products company or Active outdoor lifestyle brand highly desired. Familiarity and interest with Aqualung Group’s core consumers – Swimmers, Divers, Kayakers and water enthusiasts a plus. A personal interest in water-related recreational activities including swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and boating.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

Located in a professional office environment and at times a warehouse environment. This position requires working at a keyboard and remaining stationary for long periods of time. The employee constantly operates a computer and other office equipment. Repetitive movement of arms, hands and fingers. The employee needs to occasionally move about the building (including entering offices and the warehouse), and position self to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. This position must have close visual acuity to perform tasks safely. The employee may frequently need to lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds*.

The position requires the employee must remain professional and composed under pressure resulting from a multitude of duties and situations which must be handled simultaneously. The employee must maintain control in deadline situations, be quick to think and respond with appropriate judgment.

*The employee is required to lift and carry items or objects, with or without carrying handles, in a correct manner. Proper lifting and carrying technique training will be provided by Aqualung upon request.

PAY RANGE: $45,000 to $58,000 annually

Base pay is a portion of our total compensation package and determined within a range that allows growth and development within your role. Your base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
