Position: Assistant Editor
Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week

AQUA Magazine — a leading media brand for pool and spa professionals with a magazine, website, e-newsletter and trade show presence — is looking for a talented individual to join our editorial team. In particular, we’re looking for someone who can write consistent feature stories for our monthly publication, as well as smaller articles for our twice-weekly e-newsletter. This person would also help to upload content to our website, help to manage our "New Products" section and help to monitor our social media channels.
The successful candidate will be an outgoing person with one to three years of experience and excellent writing, copyediting, digital media and social media skills. Impeccable organization is a must. The candidate should be deadline- and detail-oriented, and should enjoy building a network of relationships in a friendly, close-knit industry. No pool and spa experience is necessary but should have a willingness to learn. Ideally, this candidate will be with us for the long haul and will see their responsibilities and job title grow over time.
AQUA is part of AB Media Inc., a family-owned media company that offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a friendly, informal work environment right on the Capitol Square in downtown Madison, Wis. (This is not a fully remote position.)
