Your Skills:

• Detailed Orientated with a focus on patient care
• Previous experience with cutting small pieces of skin tissue
• Previous experience operating laboratory equipment
• GED or High School Diploma
• Previous experience exceeding deadlines and working well under pressure
• Experience communicating and presenting findings in a professional environment
• Demonstrate ability to take initiative, learn from others, and work in a team setting

Your Responsibilities:

• Process embed, cut, and stain quality frozen tissue specimens
• Accurately accession, ability to manipulate and embed specimens and log surgical results
• Prepare slides by stain and cover slip and present them to physicians promptly
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance of lab equipment
• Follow all safety requirements including maintaining required logs for CLIA and OSHA
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to include patient confidentiality
• Assist surgeons with general medical assistant duties

Location - The position is based in Huntsville
