PRODUCTION /WAREHOUSE TECHNICIAN

This position performs the duties of a production technician as well as taking on the responsibility for overseeing materials coming in and out of the shop. Responsibilities include preparation, testing and maintenance of all Aqua Chill, Inc. service equipment, including reverse osmosis units, drinking water coolers, inserts and tanks. Preparation of production schedules and equipment readiness are the major functions daily. This position reports directly to Service Manager.

Basic duties include:

• Break down, clean and rebuild all R.O. units, noting company number, all serial numbers and parts used on appropriate forms
• Clean, sanitize and prepare cooler inserts
• Clean and sanitize storage tanks
• Clean and prepare water coolers, performing required maintenance as needed
• Test and check each R.O unit and cooler on line before sending out units
• Schedule material preparation each day to insure readiness of all needed system components.
• Complete required paperwork & usage lists accordingly
• Nlaintain work areas, empty trash, stock supply bins and keep shop area clean, paying special attention to eliminate slip and trip hazards
• Complete material requisitions as necessary to maintain stock and inventory
• Utilize proper safety techniques when handling membranes, tools and equipment
• Monitor installation board to prepare production for scheduled work.
• Monitor stock levels, complete inventory and prepare order requests for supplies
• Monitor record of returned equipment from account pulls accordingly
• Assist technicians and service personnel with parts and equipment needs
• Keep productivity level to meet minimum production schedules as listed below

• Basis mechanical skills, including ability to read and follow schematics and diagrams
• Demonstration of good time management and planning abilities in order to meet production needs
• Learn principles of membrane technology in order to preserve and maintain lifespan of membrane elements
• Ability to assist management to develop, and implement procedures that increase production capabilities while maintaining or improving quality standards
• Ability to operate hand tools, shop equipment and hand tools in a safe method
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and cleaning agents
• Use personal safety equipment as required

Basic Production Minimum Guidelines:

• Insure reparation of reverse osmosis units, coolers, tanks and equipment to prepare service for the following daily averaged minimums*:
• Based on scheduled work load, number of technicians on staff and crew size; these minimums are subject to change

This is a full-time position. This position will interact with internal personnel, and therefore, must possess good communication skills. Organization and planning skills are crucial to the success of this position. The person performing these duties must be flexible and adaptive, as well as the ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines. Scheduling skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow timelines will be daily requirements of the job.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
