Our luxury property features 18 rooms located on Peconic Bay in the North Fork.
We are hiring an assistant front desk manager to take care of our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our business, so a pleasant personality is a must! Front desk is required to have multitasking and time-management skills, have solid written and verbal communication skills and to have excellent organizational skills. Duties include welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner, answering the phone and emails, making reservations
Provide gracious and sincere customer service to all arriving and departing hotel guests and visitors.
Ensuring and providing flawless, upscale, professional and high class guest service experiences gives each guest personal recognition.
Reviews the arrival list daily and assists in preparing and distributing welcome amenities.
Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated.
Respond to guests' needs and anticipate their unstated ones.
Actively listen and resolve guests’ complaints
Enforces all hotel policies.
Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. A, monitor credit reports and maintain close observation of daily house count. Monitor the selling status of the house daily.
Promote positive solution-oriented communication with clients and fellow team members. - Maintain a professional working environment and demeanor that reflects positively on the company at all times. - Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed. - Have a positive team player attitude, be energetic and driven. - Interact with team members and vendors in a professional manner. - Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment. - Solve problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and frustration.
Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 40 lbs.; and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage.
SKILLS/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years administrative experience, preferably in the hospitality industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel sales experience preferred. College degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE OF: - Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of personalized services principles and processes.
Guest service orientation and drive
Excellent problem resolution skills along with outstanding communication and active listening skills
Highly responsible and reliable with a professional presentation
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all time
