Aptive is seeking a Program Analyst / Junior Auditor. This position will support auditing services for the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Government Accountability Office (GAO) Office of Internal Audit (IA). These efforts will improve the timeliness, cost-effectiveness, quality, and safety of Veterans health. This position requires program planning, audits, and evaluations related to various healthcare programs and projects. The candidate must have strong writing, communication and organizational skills to support a VHA client and manage project deliverables in support of all Aptive team members. Candidate must thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting.
This is a contingent hire position. This full-time position is currently fully remote. However, they may be expected to travel to Washington, D.C. or other locations in the United States for meetings, audits, and events.
IA is an independent assurance organization under the VHA Office of Oversight, Risk and Ethics. IA supports VHA governance of healthcare clinical and administrative operations by providing independent and objective audit and assurance to VHA Executive Leadership on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, compliance, and internal controls for clinical and administrative functions to enhance oversight and improve healthcare delivery to Veterans. The purpose of internal auditing is to gather information on how an organization is operating to show employees and management where they are doing well and where they can improve performance. Organizations working to become high reliability organizations use internal audit in support of their objectives to foster a process improvement culture.
