Job Description

AMPORTS is looking for a Terminal Manager to join our team. The Terminal Manager will be responsible for providing operational and financial oversight and leadership to local facilities. Lead and coordinate all terminal activities, including customer relations, scheduling, employee relations, budgeting, staffing, safety, and daily/monthly/yearly production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of supervisors' managers.
  • Lead operating planning of forecasting labor.
  • Contact with customers and manage relationships between operations and customers.
  • Direct coach on labor costs.
  • Takes ownership of business.
  • Keeps reports up to date.
  • Meet contractual goals.
  • Oversees logistics of yard planning
  • Ensure contracts of customers are accurate.
  • Customer for account receivables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience in automotive, shipping, and/or logistics industries
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
