Director, IT Engineering and Operations
Compensation: $195k-$240k/annual salary & bonus eligible (national average, premium markets may vary)
Position Summary:
The Director, IT Engineering and Operations leads the team that architects, engineers, and operates infrastructure and collaboration solutions to meet apree’s diverse care center and corporate technology challenges. This role is a key member of the IT org’s leadership team, participating in cross-organizational circles to enable continued development and growth of the system IT engineering and operations function at apree health.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for company-wide systems engineering vision and strategy working with multiple senior level stakeholders in creating a clear, convincing technical strategy that aligns to business priorities and objectives
Define and build Tier 2 IT support team to cover both infrastructure and business applications services
Develop and execute on an end to end IT service monitoring and alerting strategy
Engage with key care center/clinical stakeholders to determine the best possible technology and operational support solutions required to delight our care center patients and staff
Own onboarding and offboarding automation and zero touch workstation deployment initiatives
Responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of IT technology solutions across all new and existing care centers, ensuring seamless implementation and operational excellence
Responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining Google Workspace, GCP, Office Technology, corporate and clinic networks, and MAC/Windows device management
Engage with key clinical and business stakeholders to better understand their respective requirements for ensuring we are delighting our employees, patients and clinical staff
Build both corporate and care center technology standards for all System Engineering services systems, network, and AV technology
Qualifications/Essential Functions:
Must have recent 3 years experience of leading clinical/care center technology engineering and operations initiatives in a Healthcare provider systems
10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years of IT leadership
Effectiveness in presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
Experience managing IT infrastructure for distributed clinics
Must have 3 years experience with Google ecosystem such as GCP, Google Workspace, and Google SSO
Effective project management skills to lead multiple IT disciplines that include software development, technical support, systems architecture, etc
Mentor and share knowledge with other members of the systems engineering team.
Provide code reviews and other quality control measures, as appropriate, for work produced by the systems engineering team
Coordinate with vendors and cloud-based services
Create automated efficiencies with systems tools, workflows and system designs
In-depth knowledge of enterprise environments and ability to engineer solutions to include but not limited to: Server Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, Virtualization, Directory Services, E-mail, Disaster Recovery, Security, Antivirus, Storage Management, Print Management, Hardware Management, Mobile Device Management, Application Deployment, PKI, and DNS.
Ability to understand complex systems and IT protocols.
Strong technical and analytical skills required in solving complex systems infrastructure issues.
Ability to travel at least 10% to visit care center and office sites
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Understanding and implementation of security standards (HIPAA,HITRUST, SOC2)
Knowledge of internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, SMTP and SNMP
Conduct a process-based approach to meeting organizational goals and project management.
Ability to understand business requirements and how they relate to technical requirements.
