Job description
Responsibilities:
Order Picking: Accurately and efficiently pick items from shelves or storage areas based on customer orders and specifications. Use handheld devices or picking sheets to identify items and quantities needed.
Packing: Carefully pack items into appropriate containers, ensuring they are adequately protected for transportation while considering size, weight, and fragility. Follow specific packing instructions to meet quality standards.
Quality Control: Inspect items for damages or defects before packing to maintain high-quality standards. Report any issues with products, packaging, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
Labeling and Sorting: Label packages with shipping labels, invoices, or other required documentation. Organize and sort packed items, ensuring proper handling and easy identification during shipping.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by maintaining accurate records of items picked, packed, and shipped. Participate in cycle counts or periodic inventory checks as needed.
Adherence to Safety and Procedures: Follow safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Properly use equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts if certified and trained.
