LOCATION: Apply Digital is hybrid/remote-friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Latin America, preferably working in hours that align to ET or PT.

Candidates located in Santiago, Chile are able to work out of our Santiago office as remote/hybrid employees. Candidates located outside of Santiago, Chile will be fully remote employees.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Scrum Master to help deliver great results for our clients in Canada and the United States.

As a Scrum Master, you are a champion for Agile best practices but are flexible and can adjust your processes to fit your project team and clients’ needs. You are a strong communicator who can manage scope, timelines and client expectations with ease.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of UX/UI designers, Developers, QA and Content Specialists
  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Be the point of contact for external communications with our Canadian offices (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
  • Proactively anticipate & flag RAIDD items that could impact project delivery. Must be able to derive options for a path forward and share with client stakeholders
  • Maintain detailed status and project reports to present to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the resourcing for your track of work. Must be able to orchestrate backfills/coverage and forecast what the squad needs to be successful moving forward
  • Track team velocity and work with your team on feature estimation exercises
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • A least 2 years of experience leading teams delivering end-to-end digital solutions
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM or equivalent) and prior experience working in an Agile environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement, velocity)
  • Strong beliefs in servant leadership
  • Proficient in JIRA
  • A basic understanding of release management and CI/CD
  • A can-do attitude, a passion for digital products and the resilience to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment
  • A good dose of humility and positivity to drive your relentless pursuit of excellence!
  • Technical background in computer science is a bonus
  • Previous experience as a Product Owner is a bonus
