Job Description

Apply Digital is hybrid/remote friendly. The preferred candidate should be based in Vancouver working in hours that align to PST.

We are looking for a talented and motivated creative director to lead Apply Digital’s brand marketing department. In this role you will work under the Head of Marketing to own, manage, and grow the Apply Digital brand from a North American brand into a global brand.

You will work cross-functionally with various SMEs, including writers, designers, motion designers, strategists, and business developers. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of their team. You should be highly creative, dedicated, and possess the ability to inspire and mentor others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own, manage, and grow the Apply Digital brand from a North American brand into a global brand.
  • Bring a creative vision to the Apply Digital brand. Establish and maintain a high standard of work and take full ownership of creative work from concept through execution.
  • Lead and manage a team of designers, motion designers, writers, and scriptwriters to create content-driven experiences for our prospects, employees, and external community.
    • Give copy feedback to the writer and be able to work with writers to craft a narrative for content pieces. Ensure the content meets our tone of voice and copy standards.
    • Give design feedback to designers and motion designers and help elevate their work. Make sure that the design adheres to our brand guidelines.
  • You will often be hands-on as well and create marquee content for our website, email, social media, partner ecosystem, events, conferences, etc.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • In-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models
  • An aptitude for synthesizing campaign components into a narrative that’s not just cohesive but creatively distinctive and compelling
  • Proven success in content-driven marketing, serving differentiated audiences in the digital space
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, global, rapidly changing environment – with nuances for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to provide actionable direction for copy, scripts, social, video, and graphic design collaterals
  • Have a strong sense of design and visual aesthetics
  • Excellent communicator and coalition builder; knows how to build organizational support, collaboration and credibility across multiple functions within the organization
  • A creative and strategic thinker and an empathetic leader

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism or other relevant fields
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in B2B, corporate and/or agency environments
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency with Figma, G Suite, and Adobe Suite
  • Expert level writing and design skill
