Applus IDIADA is a global partner to the automotive industry with over 30 years’ experience supporting its clients in product development activities by providing design, engineering, testing and homologation services.

In this position you will work as a member of IDIADA’s Engineering team supporting vehicle and safety hardware safety tests at our Adelanto, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the conductance of various tests and projects
• Check installation layouts (survey and tape measure)
• Coordinate or gather the materials for safety hardware installations
• Checking installation methods, ensure that the correct parts are being used, parts are not being damage during installation, identify issues with the install that may be necessary to bring up to the client.
• Perform various testing tasks including but not limited to:
• Test Article setup and measurement
• Test facility setup and preparation
• Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, soldering iron and multimeter.
• Act as a dedicated chaperone for clients, prioritizing their safety and overall experience.
• When requested, assist with daily tasks to support Engineering Department.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• High School Diploma; two-year technical degree or prior trade experience preferred.
• Proficient operation of computers and excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to utilize various tools and measurement techniques.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in projects and a continuously evolving industry. Must be able to improvise.
• Must be a team player. Must be able to work within and across various company departments.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk up and down hills, bend, kneel, sit for lengthy periods, and use hands for various functions such as typing and using various hand tools.
• The ability to work extended hours as needed. Required availability for daily overtime and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license.
